Broken Walmart Bowl

2007

I found this broken clay bowl near the Dufferin Grove Park in Toronto.  It had a Walmart tag on its base, so I sent Walmart a fax to see if they could tell me anything about where it was made and if it could be fixed, but I didn’t hear back from them.  I then posted a “found” ad for it on Craigslist, and I received two responses - one person called me a “dumbass” and another wrote a poem for the broken bowl.

I made ten slip-cast ceramic replicas of the broken bowl, and tried to sell one of my broken copies on eBay, but no one bid on it.
