Things Fall Apart

I was given a broken Rob Brandt Crinkle Cup by Dave and Roula, and I made 100 porcelain copies of the broken cup. I then drew a series of pen on paper portraits of my mistakes and all the porcelain dust, drops, and debris that resulted from the making of the 100 cups, and displayed the drawings alongside the reconstructed piles of mistakes, dust, drops, and debris.
This was shown in the group exhibition Nothing to Declare at the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery in Toronto from December 2009 to March 2010. Curated by Helena Reckitt.
